Working With a Freelance Developer in France & Morocco (Remote)

I'm a freelance developer based in Casablanca, Morocco, working remotely with clients in France and beyond. When a French client first considers working with a developer in Morocco, the questions are always the same: will communication be smooth, what about the language, and is it actually a good deal? Fair questions — here are honest answers.

The short version: remote work has made location almost irrelevant for web development. France–Morocco is a particularly good match — shared language, near-identical time zone, and a real cost advantage without a quality trade-off.

Why remote works for this

Web development is the ideal remote job: the work is digital, the tools are cloud-based, and what matters is shipped results, not a shared office. Plenty of my projects for European clients have happened entirely over calls, messages, and clean written updates — and shipped on time.

Time zones and communication

This is the easy part. Morocco and France are in the same time zone (or within an hour), so there's full working-day overlap — calls, quick questions, and real-time collaboration happen exactly as they would with a local hire. No "waiting until tomorrow for an answer."

Language

I work fluently in French and English, so there's no language barrier with French or international clients. Specs, calls, and documentation happen in whichever you prefer — communication is never the bottleneck.

The pricing advantage

Here's the honest part founders appreciate: a developer based in Morocco can deliver the same quality as a French hire at a lower cost, because the cost of living and overhead differ — not because the work is worth less. For you it's an arbitrage in your favor: European-standard delivery, below European agency prices.

How I work

Clear scope, regular visible progress, direct communication, and delivery all the way to production. Remote-first, France-and-international friendly, with the reliability you'd expect from someone down the hall.

Let's talk

If you're in France (or anywhere) and want a reliable remote developer who ships, that's exactly what I do. See my projects, then get in touch.
